OL' BLUE EYES

I know I blipped one a week ago, but I just love to see these Migrant Hawker dragonflies. It was a good day for them at the reserve today.

A good family chat with my sisters this evening. There was a horrible crisis two weeks ago which meant that A2 had to go back to Texas in a hurry to provide family support and she needed to unload some of the stress and to update us on the situation, which fortunately is better than was initially feared. Her 20-year-old granddaughter was in a bad car crash and shattered one of her lumbar vertebrae but miraculously there turned out to be no damage to the spinal cord or much else. However, it's still going to be a long road to full recovery. Everyone is more positive than a week ago and it was good to see A2 looking OK and not quite as exhausted as she says she feels.
