A visit to Mum this morning with two of my sisters and a nephew…the place was like Piccadilly Circus with people, trolleys, wheelchairs and electricians! She was looking well and very perky!

This afternoon it was back to school run duties…although in my case it meant a long walk! Thankfully the rain shower of the day arrived and left just before I departed from the house. I realised when I got to the school I’d no idea which classroom he was now in…the class teachers see their kids are dispensed to parents or carers. It didn’t help that I couldn’t see any of his classmates parents either. I finally found him at the newly built classroom (our primary’s and high schools are being enlarged as the area is going from a 3 tier system back to 2 tier) where he was patiently waiting in line.

A visit to the shoe shop on the way through town for new school shoes and a pair of trainers on order as they’d none his size…it cost an arm and two legs! The girl serving us was barely out of nappies and the other two staff not much older. Popped in to see MC at work and pick up some keys so we could get into the flat, although it turned out Dad was working at home. I had to stay to play with him so just waited until MC finished and got a lift home. The wee one will be staying here overnight tomorrow.

I’ve had a late walk along the prom this evening as the sunset…the North Sea was like a mill pond with the full moon just rising over Lindisfarne, it was so peaceful.
