Painted Lady

By chance on my way up to the lake there was  a flutter amongst the sunflowers. I haven't seen a painted lady butterfly this year and haven't seen one for a quite a while. More than happy to get this shot.

Hubs birthday today and he rang me as I was in the hide wanting to meet up for lunch which with the sun shining we had outside in a local pub.

We have just come back from a really great curry tonight with Tammy and Fred after Hubs opened his cards and presents.

The hide was tough light this morning and we were all saying we couldn't get a lock on the focus because of it and the distance involved which was a pity. I have to say I got some amazing shots of the hobby with a dragonfly but none were in focus which was as I knew at the time. Sad but true.
