Saturday . . , The Carpenters

In the morning I got the weeds out of the bed beside the garage and spread pea straw around the rhododenrons.  The bed faces the access way and I am sure the neighbours will be pleased I am trying to be neat and tidy like their gardens are.  I went for an afternoon walk but didn't take a photo so on returning home I quickly took this pic of neighbour Ann's mature rhodo at the start of the access way.  She has lived here for over twenty years.  I have to live long enough to see my new rhodos mature.
