I had an overdue (long overdue, actually) visit to Pillars of Hercules in Falkland this morning. The fridge/larder feels much better stocked now.

It got better. I met Junior for lunch (at 4pm - his work schedules) and he gave me a big tub of wonderful olives plus 8 packets of Starbucks coffee beans.

The "lunch" was Greek, at Attica in Dunfermline. Superb, as usual.

I got my Blip at Pillars. The staff were log splitting next to the car park. It felt so autumnal (but the weather was not (!)). It reminded me of sessions with a power saw hooked up to a tractor at Peter's recycling yard in Hitzhofen, near Ingolstadt... cutting firewood for Dr D's stove to burn in the winter.

Bavarians have a laid back approach to health and safety (involving lots of common sense) which would horrify your average Brit.
