My goodness it’s difficult
To get a blip of a bumblebee on a flower. This wee one was on my sedum spectabile for several minutes, and didn’t stay still for a moment. I took about 20 shots and this is the best, if you can believe it. The sedum is a late summer treat I look forward to seeing. This is quite a plant - the garden was pretty bare when I moved here 36 years ago, but it was here.
I had an unpacking/washing/admin chores kind of a day after my little holiday. The most exciting thing to happen was that not one, but two crowns fell out today. My attempts to see my dentist resulted in having to pay in advance (which I really resent) £125 - but it might be more, said the receptionist. At least I didn’t blip them - one gold, one whitish - though I was thinking about it:-)
In the evening, the Orkney film club had an exciting diversion from our usual practice. They watched “On Falling” - an excellent film about a young woman working in an Amazon type warehouse in Edinburgh - which is brilliant, and I had already seen in the cinema. So I watched “Kneecap” as I knew they didn’t want to. A fictionalised account of their origins in Belfast. They’re the band who rap in Irish and have attracted a lot of negativity and attempts to ban them, mainly because of their support for the Palestinian people. I really enjoyed it:)
