Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue
Our new home for a few days.
Had a lovely walk over the dunes before leaving this morning. Lovely quiet town.
Now in Saint-Vaast-La-Hougue a place we also love and have visited each time we’ve come to France.
As mentioned before it’s the lunar eclipse on Sunday and we hope to be able to get a photo of the moon rising over one of the forts that form the old defences against the English.
There is an app called PhotoPills! It’s supposed to be able to show the alignment of the sun and moon at any given time. We tried the app this evening to gauge where we need to be. A good exercise that highlighted a number of problems. The harbour wall, that I had forgotten for one. We think (sharing the blame with V if “we” get it wrong) we have our spot nailed down but it’s a fine margin.
The Blip is of an amphibious vehicle that is the ferry to the island where the outer fort is. We plan on going over. But, as this is a Back blip, I can confirm we’ve failed so far.
