Stoke Poges Memorial Gardens

I popped over to Stoke Poges for a brief wander in their lovely memorial gardens. Such a tranquil space with water features and lots of natural planting. It is a lovely place to visit and designed to be not in the least melancholy.

One new feature is this memorial stone to those who lost their lives in the pandemic. Remembering Rhod, Victoria and countless others.

My grandparents' grave is in the afjacent churchyard and, since I last visited in 2021, it had completely disappeared under earth and weeds! Thankfully, I had a photo on my phone from last time so was able to confirm my recollection of its location and unearth it! Must return with a trowel and a brush to tidy it a bit more.
