Not Canada !

A hike up Moose Hollow and Avenues trails this morning. No moose, and not much of a hollow … more like a substantial local hill. A good workout, especially had I been on a mountain bike. There were tyre marks in the dust, so somebody is more game than I would be.
Quite a range of birds about, including a ruffed grouse that flushed from the undergrowth. An uncommon species in Utah, more common further north. A first for me.
Very nice maple and scrub-oak forests at the upper elevations.
