How kind!

Having a clear-out we found D's father's 1977 collection of notes and correspondence when he was working on a history/archive of the famous, patented Haws watering cans (founded around 1880).  We offered them to the present directors of the company.  They were apparently thrilled by the photos and original letters of reminsiscence from employees going back to the 1920s and very kindly sent a new watering can (which will replace D's rather battered and oddly repaired one!).  note:  the repair has kept the split from spreading for 2 years!
