Martin Luther King

When MLK stepped up to deliver his speech from the Lincoln Memorial Centre he could not have been more aware of the heavy weight of the hand of history on his broad shoulders, more concious of the venue in which he would stand. He would follow Abraham Lincoln to an early grave, another man shot by dark forces hidden behind various patsies, their crime more cleanly hidden.

His death left his children without a father and millions of followers around the world feeling lost and extremely vulnerable.

On this day it is good though to remember the immense hope of 'that' speech, words that spun an endless web that still inspire us today.
