The Lozarithm Lens

Although summer was very slow to arrive, autumn seems to be right on time, so I thought I would catch these summer colours before they are gone. There are a line of these flower baskets along the Strand. To the right is the River Marden with the shops along Beeches Terrace on the other side.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Gene Vincent - Rollin' Danny (recorded 19 June 1957)
The demo of this was by Scotty McKay, one of the Blue Caps, and the finished version first appeared on the album Gene Vincent Rocks! And The Blue Caps Roll.
One of the songs on the Fall's Five Albums set was a cover of this Gene Vincent track, that I was listening to on a rock and roll compilation on this day. It comes from his third album, Gene Vincent Rocks! And The Blue Caps Roll, known as the green jacket album.
There was a craze for songs about Working Annie at the time and this was his answer record to Hank Ballard's Work With Me Annie, featuring some great guitar work from new guitarist Johnny Meeks.
