Everlasting?

Everlasting? I'm not sure I agree with the concept (at least on this planet) yet here we have the Everlasting Sweetpea Lathyrus latifolius.

Really, it is a perennial and more vigorous version of the multi-hued annual varieties though lacks their sweet scent. Its blooms though are lovely. But, if your garden is tiny like mine, you need to watch that it doesn't take over your world - it grows as quickly as Jack's beanstalk!

Still summer, then - it's been a good one here this year (and still is).
