later on

There was supposed to be a fly-past by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight in the morning, though there had been rumours in Budgens yesterday that today was their only day off all year and that they wouldn't show up. Having seen them fly a couple of hundred feet above the house several hundred times when I lived there and to have crawled around the inside of the Lancaster when we visited Coningsby with the cubs it wasn't a crushing disappointment and both children seemed happy enough with arsing about in the garden all morning instead.
