Bounty

The trip to the Lanark meeting was frustrating. After dealing with tractors etc., we were just about on time, or at least within the margin of error when we came across a closed road and proceeded to trust and follow the diversion. The diversion, of course, instead of sending us on the obvious ten minute extra route, sent us directly south to somewhere near England and then north again. Just looking at the map now I still can't believe it.

Embarrassingly late, but at least there were mini battenbergs and French Fancies.

Allotment for 15 minutes after dinner - like going to the supermarket. The hundredweight or so of beans, the carrots beetroot, courgette, squash and lettuce are mine, the tomatoes were 'traded'. I tried to negotiate and say that I wouldn't take any tomatoes unless I could give away some courgettes, but couldn't seal the deal.

Glorious glut season.
