The Itsy Bitsy Spider

The toddlers have all returned after two and a half weeks of vacation. It's back to ultra-being-in-the-moment.

Much excitement ensued this morning when Mr E spotted a spider on the back door. The children watched as the spider raced up and down the door frame; they announced each movement in exuberant voices. I sang The Itsy Bitsy Spider and attempted to change the lyrics to fit the event, but they would have none of it! The song spider had to ascend a water spout regardless.

Many renditions of the song took place as everyone was getting ready for lunch. And a few during lunch too. The “no singing at the table” rule does not apply here.
