The silk spinner

Over on the Sands of Forvie the dwarf willows are decorated with these tiny bundles of silk. I think that they are cocoons spun by spiders. Inside there will be a number of eggs which will slowly develop into the next generation of young spiders. You can't but wonder at the spinning skill of these little beasts.
