Laughing at epilepsy.

Em and Rich have been great friends ever since they spent week after week together as patients at the Epilepsy Society's Chalfont assessment centre.

They were the youngest patients there, which was a very strong reason to stick together and has created a permanent bond.

They are often on the phone to each other, but this is only the fifth time they have been able to meet in the three years since they left. Em and Richard live a long way apart, and neither has yet managed to achieve the health that would allow them to travel alone - or indeed to spend any time unaccompanied.

Intractable epilepsy is a truly horrible curse. It not only threatens your life, it constricts and constrains it too.

However, when they do meet, Em and Rich are always very happy to be together again - and yah boo sucks to the dreaded E...
