Sunset on Muck

Today saw us leaving Plockton early so we could negotiate Kyle Rhea at slack water. The forecast seemed good for an overnight stop on Muck, one of the Small Isles. We anchored in Gallenach Bay on the north side of the islands where on evenings such as this one there are breathtaking views of Rhum, Eigg and Skye. The bay itself was once used by the Vikings to haul out their longboats for repair and it's now home to the MacEwan family who run the island as a family farm. This has got to be my absolute favourite anchorage so far, and I'll definitely be back. Soooo many pictures to choose from today, but I've settled for this sunset which, with the boat rocking gently and a G&T in my hand seemed just a perfect moment!
