Walkathon

Once a year the pupils at Mudgee Public School (where grandchildren Ruby & Cooper attend) participate in a charity "Walkathon:. The children engage sponsors who agree to contribute so much per lap. Then for an hour on "sports day" they walk the school oval, getting marked off after every trip around. Every two laps Cooper called in to top up his fluids on a relatively warmish spring day. Ruby did 12 laps but Cooper verily raced around and did 16. Norma and I therefore finished up contributing $20 or so ..... but it was well worth it to see all these children working so hard for a cause.

On an entirely different matter, I ran around and shot pictures using the Zuiko 40-150mm all day. The zoom action seems a bit stiff (I suppose to prevent gravity induced focal length creep) but the pictures were remarkably sharp and the focus action highly responsive, The new lens did everything I demanded of it and I was hardly aware of its presence. So far so good.
