For the photo challenge the Mr. got a lovely shot of Chickpea showing off her new water beads from the states. They are very cool; squishy, soft, so versatile, and the clear ones are ace as they completely disappear in a vat of water and have to be found by touch.

Today was our first day back in Warrington. We arrived in the morning, very zombified and to a house that certainly had to be messier than when we left! The first text the Mr. got after turning his phone on was to say one of our rats had a hole in his neck. It turns out he had a burst abscess (a lump that had grown just before we went away.) We took him to see the vet and he is now on antibiotics and TLC. The vet is not sure if it will work as it is a fairly large wound but we're all hoping he pulls through.
