Cheat blip

A very boring day planning so I am cheating by blipping a picture from my Sudeley castle trip on Thursday. Here is a picture of the Tudor knot garden. The knot garden was popular during the Tudor period and was used to replicate patterns and symbols, some well known, some not so. Many included family crest designs and patterns from tapestries or clothing. This is from a pattern in the material worn by Elizabeth I in a famous painting called the allegory of the Tudor Succession, which has been on show at Sudeley itself! It was created by the current owners to celebrate a wedding anniversary.
