I spent an amazing day wandering through the darkened halls and chambers filled with history, art and relics of the Holyrood Palace. I also took in the impressive, Leonardo da Vinci: The Mechanics of Man exhibition at The Queen's Gallery. Lastly, there was a wander through the stately ruins of Holyrood Abbey. The day concluded with lunch outside at the palace cafe and 4 hours spent talking about genealogy. Thanks Pat Bremner for a lovely day out!
