Oh Dear Deer

A quick trip to Bradgate Park today, looking for deer, finding lots of people :-)

Bradgate is a great place, and one we visit reasonably regularly. Only one Red Deer to be seen and a few small bachelor groups of Fallow.

The rut is not too far off now and the tension is beginning to show itself amongst the boys with practice bouts and so on happening reasonably often.

A few more weeks and the neck strengthening exercises will begin whereby they chuck the vegetation around with reckless delight.

a few weeks after that and rutting commences.
