Amy found him/her on her mum's clothes while she was at her laptop. Caught in a jam jar it was brought to me for identification .... well not so much id as live or die? If it might bite, people or plants, my lot would rather it did not live with us :-/ However I have a live and let live approach so most bugs get away :-)

I think it is a Field Grasshopper, Chorthippus brunneus.
