Cardboard Cathedral (aka transitional cathedral)

Wasn't going to blip it, but there's been so many, it seemed rude not to!

Cardboard ceiling, cardboard pulpit, cardboard choir stalls, cardboard cross.

And it has no atmosphere yet, churches need the sadness of funerals and the joy of weddings and baptisms, concentrated human emotion is what gives the atmosphere. When you walk into a country church it's there, but not here, not yet.

Re home repairs in Christchurch - there are apparently 125,000 houses with damage worth more than $NZ100,000 - and after 3 years 400 have been repaired. So you can see the magnitude of the problem. There are 7000+ houses to be demolished also.
