Swarming

One if DH's beehives swarmed. They settled on a low tree branch nearby while they decided what to do with themselves.
He was determined not to lose another swarm and made up a new box. He seemed to think the bees would parade up the stick and into the new box if he sat it close enough.
Is it obvious that we are new to this?
He eventually used a brush to sweep them all into the new box. Hopefully they will still be here tomorrow :)
