First September walk

We took our usual walk in the forest this morning where there was just a hint of the changing season, with berries bginning to ripen, grasses turning golden and a slightly cooler feel to the air.
This Speckled Wood butterfly was one of many enjoying the sweet juice of the blackberries. I think this bush shows every stage of ripening, from green through to clearly past it!
