Ripping good yarn

So we had the electrician today.

Erm

Well.....

1) Tripping fault nothing wrong with the wiring so is something that's plugged in but as the tripping is random no idea what.

2) broken light in the living room. Turned out is was a lose wire and dodgy dimmer switch, dimmer switch has been replaced with a proper switch.

3) broken light in the studio. Still broken, it has no power to it and he couldn't work out where the power has been picked up from and suspects its a junction box but needs to go in via the floor upstairs. So we have to clear the bedroom and wait for return visit.

Now is is where it gets fun....

I asked if he could check the light switch in the loft, he debating doing this visit or leaving it for his colleague on return visit.

He decided it was just gonna be a quick fix. Well that bit was. But while he was up there he found another junction box, he doesn't think they have used it to pick up the power for the studio (its an extension). His words were the junction box had been broken into, seem previous owner (we call him twat features, it's in his best interests if we never meet him again, oh but to have 5 minutes alone with him, just me and my gladius) decided to tackle yet more electrical work by himself and left most of the upstairs unearthed, oh but it get worse because not only was it unearthed there are metal light switches. Trouble is he couldn't get it all earthed again, he traced the wires, fixed an old pendant but still it's not right, there maybe a broken wire. That will be added to the job list for the return visit.

Electrician would also like five minutes alone with twat features.

Oh and that tripping fault well we recon it must be an appliance and well everything is new (ok it's all two years old now but we've had this problem since day one) guess who installed the kitchen complete with electric oven, induction hob oh and dishwasher thats plugged in via a trailing socket under the cupboards (must remember to mention that next visit, it's costing a fortune so I may as well get my money's worth)!

And the picture I have started to crochet myself a ripple blanket.
