Canoeing with Mustafa

This is my son-in-law Mustafa.
Last night he slept in a tent for the first time, and today he went for his first canoe ride. My daughter actually took this photo because I am in the back of the canoe. I wanted to go over to the state park and rent a canoe so he was willing to give it a try. It was great. We had to laugh at this shot because it looks like he is trying to put his foot out to stop the canoe.

Today is Labor Day, which pretty much marks the end of the summer in Minnesota. Schools start back up tomorrow. Now that I don't have children to send back to school it doesn't bother me. Used to make me very sad. Now I look forward to some beautiful September days.
