Another frosty start this morning, the third spring frost leaving behind glistening droplets shimmering in the light. Rhododendron President Roosevelt was looking gorgeous in the light.

I found this shot extra challenging with the focus. It was difficult to get both the stamens and the foreground in focus, it was one or the other until I hit the spot - many were sent to the rubbish bin.

Hubby and I spent most of the day out, appointments in Christchurch, lunch out and then a quiet wander down by the Ashley River. It was much warmer today once the frost was gone and the sun was up. Tomorrow will be another story with a cold blast coming from Antarctica bringing snow down to low levels, sleety showers and cold rain - winter returns.

It seems my car could be on its final innings, time to ponder on what's next.....

Happy Wednesday blippers - ooops, make that Tuesday! :))
