A garden full of butterflies this morning

The butterflies were back in force this morning and I counted at least five small tortoiseshells on the Valerian, along with numerous small whites (of the cabbage variety). I like the way that you can see it feeding on the nectar from the Valerain in this image. A gardening day today - mainly cutting back endless amounts of summer growth while Merv repaired the pond pump, made a start on moving some stone flags and then cleaned the conservatory roof (it was too hot for moving flags).
