Tynemouth Pier

I hate feeling like a tourist in the place I'm from. I think this place I've taken for granted when growing up.
My recent trip to Newcastle was a sad, emotional time but it did give me time to appreciate what I had around me when I was growing up.
Tynemouth pier, just behind the castle. It's quite calm today in the photo but in bad weather it can look so different.
