The spider's view

Back to school today - Thomas was not looking forward to it, as the summer holiday has been so good. It does not help that the weather is still so wonderful and sunny. To reach 27C in September must be some kind of record?

After the school run this morning I stopped by the river to take some photos. It was so overgrown, I am not used to seeing it so green and bushy as I usually take photos there in winter when the mist rises off the water. I saw this spider's web with the most lovely view and thought how simple his life must be.
