Macau Ferry Terminal

Today and yesterday, I've had the pleasure of celebrating some of my friends' birthdays over lunch. Today is my friend Ev's birthday. Ev has been in and out of hospital since April, so any opportunity to do 'normal' things with her like have lunch, we just jump at.

It was really good to make her feel special and enjoy a meal with her.

After that, I headed back into town for an appointment. Managed to get this pic at the Macau Ferry Terminal. Macau is an hour away on the ferry and Hong Kongers nip across for shows/gambling or meals regularly.

Macau is an old Portuguese colony and is quite European. It is also know as the Las Vegas of the East and is more profitable than Las Vegas because of the mainlanders that frequent it.

The blue ferry in front takes you straight to the new part of Macau and the one behind to the older part. The red ferry is a hydrofoil and is quite fun to ride. Love seeing these come into the harbour when they're skimming over the water.
