New World Festival

Randolph, a normally sleepy village in northern Vermont, comes to life every year on the Sunday before Labor Day, when the New World Festival takes place. Continuous music in 5 different venues - Celtic music featuring musicians from Ireland, Scotland, the eastern provinces of Canada, and the United States. There is a dance tent, a kids tent, and of course the Food! My favorites include the corn on the cob and the pies - homemade by the residents - delicious!

My favorite band this year? Vishten! Give a listen!

There are lots of local kids that volunteer during this festival. Pictured here are 5 of them, off duty (I presume), just having fun.

By the way, Gina has decided to join the ranks of blipfoto. HERE is her first blip.
