Surrey woodland

I really needed to get out of the house today, so drove myself along narrow lanes up to Ranmore Common and walked in the woodland for a bit. Although it appears summery there was a change in the air and out in an open area there were dewy cobwebs on the grass. The trees are young oaks and silver birch and there is bracken and brambles underneath. There were no ripe blackberries - I guess they were all picked at the weekend!
