Gooseberries??

I have always called these things gooseberries. Well at least the red ones. That was until I looked up gooseberries on Wiki and it showed a picture of something completely different. If anyone can shed some light on what they are.. please do. The usual ones are in a bland case that resembles paper and the fruit is a dirty yellow colour.
