The Bride and Groom

Lovely day today for a walk - not too warm and a nice breeze blowing.
Had a walk over Bridestones Moor - the Bridestones are Millstone Grit outcrops above Todmorden. The "bottle' shaped one is the Bride, the fallen stone to the right is the Groom !!!!
The Bride 'herself' is a great smooth upright pillar of stone fourteen feet tall and nine feet wide at the top, yet only about two feet wide near its base, seemingly defying natural law.
I always think she looks as though she's wearing a turban - don't know what others think.
Today was in sharp contrast to my visit in January.
The Bridestones (1438 ft above sea level) are a fascinating place to walk amongst - two more images are here and here.
