Sunbathing

I went to my butterfly haven at Trentham Gardens after work and the dominant butterfly was the small tortoiseshell.This one was amongst quite a few that were catching the last rays of sunshine today - this shot was taken at about 6.30pm. In a couple of days it might be too cold for these delicate insects.

I really like the light coming through the underside of it's wings.
