Deeside Industrial Scene Nighttime!

This is a shot from the bedroom window! Was just playing with the long exposure, as have not really done much with this.

We have, what can only be described as "Industrial Architecture" to look at, but at least between us and it is quite a large park, and the lovely River Dee. The industrial estate as the main home for years of Shotton Steelworks, which mostly closed in the early eighties, although some specialist work is now done there under the ownership of TATA Steel.

The recovery since then of the area is amazing - at its peak the Steelworks employed about 13000, which was reduced to a few hundred when it closed, devastating a lot of families (mine included)! However, with a lot of foresight and investment, the industrial estate now employs more than the steelworks ever did , and is home to Iceland Frozen Foods HQ, a Toyota Engine plant, and many other large employers.

Planning has recently been granted, and work about to start on a 650 Acre development of light industrial and housing, with again infrastructure improvement, so all good!

Sorry for the history lesson!
