Praying Mantis.................

We turned off all of the lights in and around the Villa, and went on a bug hunt armed with a small torch and the camera.

Favourite catch of the evening, this Praying mantis.
I tried shots with and without flash, the shots with flash just washed out any colour that was in the image, not that the mantis has much colour, this particular one was a light green in colour, so in the flash he was pure white, looked quite funny white with two large red eyes.
This mantis was the exception in the bug hunt as all the other insects we saw were moths.
