Welsh farmers

How about this for a piece of serendipity? For some time I have been meaning to put together our family history with some of the stories about rural Welsh life.

And this morning this photograph arrived completely out of the blue of my father (left) and his brother, both Welsh farmers, taken we think about quarter of a century ago.

It was taken by a member of the family who have a remote weekend cottage adjoining my uncle’s farm high up on the Sugar Loaf mountain, near Abergavenny.

My father died at 98 years of age and my uncle at 80.

PS I forgot to take a photo of our dance class this morning. We have some new recruits and would you believe it out of a class of 11 five of are called Ann!
