Before the Rain Came

The farmers have been busy today. During my travels around East Lothian (at work), I've seen combines, balers, sprayers, potato harvesters and ploughs. The main roads are choc-a-bloc with farm traffic too.

It's absolutely chucking it down with rain now, so they've had a lucky few dry days to get things done, but now the fields are going to be a messy muddy mess!

Unfortunately, the stubble fields are already disappearing!

Apparently winter is round the corner. Has anyone noticed how quickly it's getting dark at night...?

[Interestingly, this photo was taken on my Samsung Galaxy camera at 21x zoom. Surprisingly sharp for a photo taken so far away! It is also an HDR photo, taken 'in camera' using three different exposures]
