Bucking the trend ...

... this recently re-opened pub seemed to be doing good business at 7:30 this evening. Probably a tribute to the welcoming look of the place and a landlord who made a major effort at refurbishment earlier this year, reopening the place, when several nearby hostelries appear to have closed their doors for good.

It has been a heavy week and a miserably wet day today, particularly for my last horse-riding lesson in preparation for our holiday only ten days away.

It was great to find one of my entries on the staff picks and thanks for all the encouraging messages, stars and hearts that contributed to this - I'm heartened and not a little chuffed.
