Invasion of the mini beasts

No, not the kids. Or the hundreds of people who seemed to be enjoying their hols at Eyemouth.

I'm referring to the hundreds of ladybirds that we found on the beach, after we'd been swimming at the pool. I don't think I've ever seen so many in one place before and I didn't think they hung around on beaches. There are cliffs near the spot we found, a bit scrubby, but not much other vegetation around.

Come to think of it, there has been a lot of ladybirds this year. Which can't be bad.
