More Mellow Fruitfulness

I with a bag, and you with a stick
to pull the stems closer, the quicker to pick.
The sun's going down. Although it grows late
the blackberries are ripe and the apples won't wait
for sugar and flour and fat in a crumble.
Pour custard on top. Can you hear tummies rumble?
