Eyes wide shut

I must walk round with my eyes shut!

This group of pictures is of the Knopper Gall which affects the oak, it was first recorded in the 1960's and is now the most common oak gall across England. Yet I have never seen it before.

This morning was beautiful but I should have worn wellingtons on my walk, the grass was so wet with dew that I got home wet through. No mushrooms of any note today but I was considering using this picture of an acorn as today's blip.
