The Thames

I went for another extended run today ... 20 miles! I do not want to admit how long that takes me but I did it!

I chose an excellent route, starting from Windsor, through Eton to pick up the Thames Path, and then following river towpaths for miles. I came back the same way and ran home from Windsor through the park.

The Thames Path is a National Trail and the section I ran is a small part of the 184 mile trail, which starts at the source of the Thames near Kemble in Gloucestershire to the Thames Barrier at Charlton. Who knew?

This is Boveney Lock preparing to open. This lock was first built in 1838 and rebuilt in 1898.
