Sgwarnog: In the Field

Watcher

one eye
stares
from the dark
of the shed
the watcher

A small slice of rural gothic from a walk that 9yo and I took up to Hawksworth and back. Perhaps vintage vehicle experts among you could identify the watcher?

We noticed a small resurgence in butterfly activity as the sun warmed us. A fair few whites, and plenty of fresh looking Speckled Woods. There were a few Common Darters about too, reputedly our latest flying dragonflies.

Returning across the fields we had a great view across to Baildon Moor and home.

But we weren't the only ones watching.
